Family Vacation to Emerald Isle

We spent the week with our families at the beach in Emerald Isle, NC. The house was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the margaritas flowed freely! Oh yeah, and the company was pretty good too! Nicholas and Benjamin LOVED spending so much time with their uncles, aunt and grandparents!

This was our beach "cottage" for the week along with one of our sandcastles.

There was some serious castle building going on last week! This is one of the remnants as the tide was coming in.

Neil turned 70 on Saturday, so we celebrated him on Friday. Surprisingly, none of the other grandparents wanted us to broadcast their ages in numbers that could practically be seen from space.

Mother's Day

Wow, they've really been working on their handwriting skills!
Getting them to pose for a picture with their mother on Mother's Day proved to be a difficult task. Mini-breakdown in progress for Nick!
But somehow posing with Daddy and Grandaddy was soooo fun! I guess I'll get my good picture with the boys on Father's Day!

Catching Up

Our computer has been slowed down (and practically shut down) due to too many pictures and video. Who knew. Anyway, we cleared a little space and I got some of our recent pictures up. "Some" turned out to be 200, needless to say it's been a busy month. Here are a few of the highlights:
Lots of time with the uncles over Easter weekend.

Learning to play baseball with Andy (a natural!) and Ben watching/taking notes.
Easter

Best. Smile. Ever.
Nicholas is LOVING all the bugs out right now, especially the caterpillars! He loves to catch them on sticks and "play" with them. This has led to the untimely deaths of a few, but mostly it ends up like the picture above.
Ben is 8 months old! And clapping about it!
He ate the paper that said "8 months".

And then he was 2

Nicholas turned 2 on April 10th and we celebrated with his Yo Gabba Gabba-tastic birthday party! All the usual suspects were there, minus a few important uncles. Nick loved all the decorations and balloons and all the visitors. He even managed to blow out the candles all by himself! The highlight was a "visit" by none other than DJ Lance Rock himself!
Happy Birthday to our sweet Nicholas!
How did 2 happen already?

Can't Hide That HOKIE Pokey Pride!

Nick loves his Hokey Pokey Elmo!
You put your left hand in.......
Who loves Elmo?
