We've Got Mail!!

Out of maybe 6 pieces of mail in the mailbox today, 4 of them were for Nicholas and Benjamin! Halloween cards galore! Their grandparents LOVE them!
"I am so popular," said Nick. "Which to open first?"

Clearly Ben is a novice at opening mail. He looks very skeptical.
"Oooh, actually I love mail! Yay for Halloween cards!" said Ben.

Nicholas' First Haircut

I would say that the haircut went mostly like this:
Nick did a lot of crying and, for some reason, trying to rip my shirt off. Every now and then, he realized he wasn't being killed, and that he was actually in a really cool police car with a wheel that turned. That would last a couple seconds before resuming the tears. The lady that cut his hair said that most first haircuts involve tears, some never end in the hair actually being cut. This made us feel more normal. He did leave with about 50% less hair, just as curly as ever!

It wasn't all bad, he actually seems to be enjoying himself in the above picture.

The Sweet Pea Brothers

Nicholas loves his little brother! This series of pictures is played out over and over again on a daily basis! Nicholas is constantly in Benjamin's face, petting his head, kissing him-occasionally getting a little rough- but mostly just being sweet with him. When he talks to Ben he changes his voice to this funny, quiet whisper and says "baby brother" but really sounds like "baba bruvuh". They are pretty cute together!

Smiling!!

Benjamin is 6 weeks old!
He's been giving us some sweet smiles all week!

The Pumpkin Patch!

We went to Chesterfield Berry Farm to get our pumpkins this year. Aside from the pumpkin patch and hayride, there were tons of other things for Nick to get into. We stopped at the bunnies first. There were a ton of bunnies there and they would eat right out of your hand. Nicholas thought they were the greatest thing EVER and was laughing and squealing his curly little head off! We also saw goats, turkeys, cows and chickens. He went through a little hay maze, picked out some gourds, and then we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch.
